SEPTEMBER 1999 After the success of first fish-in held on the River Nene in Peterborough of the FishingUK mailing list run by Graham Marsden It was generally decided another gathering of the clan was due. This time we decided on the very popular Maver Lake complex situated at Stourport in Worcestershire. Not only does the complex offer excellent fishing on the lake but you also have access to a stunning section of the River Severn, well known for its mighty barbel.
OCTOBER 1999 A very enjoyable trip where Graham Marsden and his good friend Dave Colclough travelled down to my neck of the woods to have a go at one of the Breakaway Tackle waters, Brick Kiln Farm at Melton in Suffolk. This water quite recently hit the angling headlines with captures of some very nice double figure bream, in fact Dave had caught his new personal best bream from here during an earlier visit with a cracking 12 lb 4 oz fish! Although the weather was none too kind to us, the fine fish and excellent company made it a session I will remember for a long while..
JUNE 2000 A trip down to Corringham near Southend in Essex after my first ever catfish….
