DESCRIPTION A 42 peg two and a quarter acre lake with a smaller adjoining pool, controlled by Haverhill AC. Skimmer bream dominate, though they run to over 3 lb. Carp run to 22 lb and there are tench to 5 lb, hybrids and crucians 2 lb, roach 1 lb 10 oz, perch 1 lb 8 oz ( though much bigger fish were once present ), rudd to 10 oz , the odd goldfish and gudgeon.
TACTICS Pole at nine and 12 metres with light elastic, squatt, pinkie or punch works well. Whip with single or double fluoro pinkie and caster has its day. In spring, target crucians close in along the 30s. Carp fall to boilies close to the islands, rudd, roach and skimmers can be tempted up in the water on the Cambridge Road bank. NO bloodworm or joker, fish sunrise until sunset. Anglian Bylaws.
